Let's talk about the buzzword "AI colleague". Yep, everyone is talking about it, but what does it actually mean?
So I made a little explainer film. It runs for about a minute. Made with Claude Opus 5.5, and yes, I'm officially hooked on making these.
The short version
You already use ChatGPT. So what's the difference?
Say you hire a new colleague. On day one, you give them an intro to you and the business, access to your systems, your folders and files, and a proper onboarding.
An AI colleague is no different. In a chat, it gets none of this, so every day you start again.
Claude and ChatGPT both give you the pieces to fix that:
- Projects: your files in one place.
- Instructions: who you are and how you work.
- Connectors: mail, calendar, drive and more.
- Skills: teach a task once, then repeat it in seconds.
With those in place, it picks up where you left off and works with you all day.
Most people I meet stop at the chat. The real power is one step further.
