Our story

Dune & Wick is one person and one bench. I'm Erin, and I pour everything here by hand.

How it's made

  1. Small batches

    I pour a row of jars at a time, let them cure for two weeks, then trim and check every wick before it's boxed.

  2. Scents from the coast path

    Each scent starts on a walk: dune grass after rain, salt on the wind at Moffat Beach, a fig tree over a fence in Peregian.

  3. Plain kraft, no plastic

    Orders go out in kraft boxes with paper shred and paper tape. The jars are amber glass, and they're good for pens afterwards.

What does shipping cost?

$9.50 flat, anywhere in Australia. It's free on orders over $75.

When does my order go out?

I pack orders by hand and post them on weekdays. You get tracking by email as soon as it's on its way.

Can you write a card for a gift?

Yes. Add your message to a gift set and I'll write it by hand. Gift sets are wrapped the day they ship.

My candle arrived cracked.

Candle care

A candle burns for about sixty hours if you look after it.

  • First burn: all the way to the edgeLet the top melt right across, or it tunnels down the middle.
  • Trim the wick to 5 mmBefore every burn. Less soot, a calmer flame.
  • Four hours at a timeThen put the lid on once it has cooled.
